Having tested several
brands of polishing pads for granite and hard material like quartz, I
personally found these to not only be best performing diamond polishing
pads, but they are also very reasonably priced to compete with other
national suppliers. The polishing pads are first class option to polish
tight curves as they are really flexible and easy to get into all those
nooks and crannies. (under mounted sinks) The factory makes many different
types of polishing pads. We have spent several months perfecting this
range for granite and quartz work tops in mind. The factory exports all
over the world and make hundreds of varieties. These ceramica pads have
a hard shinny surface and tough polyester material of with the specialize
bond of resin and diamonds. I can guarantee they are hard to rip.
yet flexible.
It is very difficult to produce a pad that is both flexible
and durable. Polishing actions are vigorous in stages (friction grits#
versus polishing resin) and can lead to the destruction of the membrane
of the flexible velcro. I find that this pad is a good compromise due
to it's shinny ceramic type finnish. My guess is that it does not get
over heated leading to the low performace and low life heat is a bad
thing with diamonds. These ceramica polishing discs feel diferent to
use on granite where I tried them the polishing pads smooths over the
stone and does feel quite diferent (slipery feeling) to others used that
have a matt coarse feel that must grip the stone and friction is very
high, melting the pads. Our ceramic dry pads lasted longer and did not
rip in our trials on undermounted polished sinks.
